GETTING HERE Kjerringøy is located 40 kilometres north of Bodø which has a major airport, train station and is also a stop on the famous Norwegian " Hurtigruta " cruise passage. This coastal alpine area was an inspiration for Knut Hamsun and continues to inspire many other artists. The drive to Kjerryingøy rorbusenter includes a lovely 10 minute ferry ride onboard the ferry called - Festvåg til Misten . That gives you just enough time to gear down from "City-Mode" to "Island-Time". Once you land on Kjerringøy simply cruise along the white sand beaches, and begin to feel your cares fall away as you make your way to Tårnvik, the tip of the island, and Kjerringøy rorbusenter.
